Embark on a transformative journey into the original practice of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM), a therapeutic fusion of deep oil massage, yoga-based stretches, and holistic bodywork. This original massage technique, developed by the renowned master Kusum Modak in Pune, India, combines the wisdom of Ayurvedic traditions with the alignment principles of B.K.S. Iyengar yoga. Through this course, you will learn not only how to give a deeply rejuvenating massage but also how to care for yourself, cultivate body awareness, and discover the art of healing from within.

LEARN TO TOUCH THE BODY AND SOUL – AYM THERAPIST TRAINING with Naseem TOUCH

With the Intensive course (Levels 1 – 2 / 60 hours) you will learn techniques to consciously relax deep-seated tension, release emotional blocks, and dissolve stress. These skills not only benefit the person receiving the massage but also empower you to reconnect with your own emotional and physical well-being, creating a healing space where both souls can shine.

The Advanced course (Levels 3 – 4 /  50 hours) is focused on the detailed anatomy of musculoskeletal system, deep tissue bodywork with a no pain approach, myofascail release and postural alignment and you will learn how to heal consciously and effectively most common physical problems.

 

AYURVEDIC YOGA MASSAGE – THERAPIST TRAINING

The learning process follows the complete Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) technique as learned from Naseem in 2001 directly with the founder and master Kusum Modak in Pune, India. AYM is the original fusion of Indian Traditional Ayurvedic Massage and the Yoga of B.K.S. Iyengar: a slow and deep oil massage in combination with lots of stretching and ‘passive asanas’ (body positions) for the opening and re-alignment of the body structure, it’s how to give and receive a deep Yoga session (at all levels).

 

Alongside the AYM method Naseem combines his long professional experience in Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation to teach feeling the possibilities and limits of body movement. Safe and comfortable positions and a sense of fluidity, rhythm and care of movements will transform our massage also in an artistic gesture to give and to receive a Dance (of the hands and fingers on a skin carpet).

 

A Meditative state of total Presence and dedication is also essential in Naseem’s approach to bodywork and therapeutic gesture. It’s this sense of the sacredness of the moment and the foundamental connection with the Heart the carrier pillar on which the whole learning process and further the therapeutic practice can lean on and develop to give (and give oneself) care and Healing.

 
 

TOPICS OF THE COURSES

LEVEL 1: INTRODUCTORY (30 hours)
BACK and SHOULDERS, LEGS and FEET

YOU WILL LEARN:

⋆ The fundamentals and essence of Ayurvedic Yoga Masage

⋆ How to empower and align youserf through body and soul training based on Yoga, Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation

⋆ The fundamental strokes for massaging the back and sholuders, legs and feet

⋆ How to perform the AYM technique on the floor, as it was originally created, and how to apply the same technique on a massage table

⋆ How to provide massage in a meditative state of total presence and dedication

⋆ How to choose comfortable positions to perform fluid and safe movements starting from the center-core-hara, using your body weight to move with economy of effort and in harmony with your breathing

⋆ How to properly apply essential oils to lubricate and enhance stimulation

⋆ A special technique for using healing Ayurvedic Calamus powder (Vakhand) to increase friction and enhance the receiver’s healing process

⋆ Self massage techniques to feel, recognize and release tension points 

LEVEL 2: INTENSIVE (30 hours)
CHEST and BELLY, NECK and FACE + SPECIFIC STRETCHINGS

YOU WILL LEARN:

⋆ The basic anatomy of the human body’s structure and systems

⋆ The fundamental strokes for massaging the chest and belly, the neck and the face

⋆ A yoga-based series of assisted stretchings for all joints and the spine to enhance mobility and realign the body’s structure

⋆ How to use the power of your hands and fingers efficently and safely, without causing stress or side effects to your joints and shoulders

⋆ How to use your feet to release tension in the deeper muscles of the back and legs

⋆ How to perceive the body’s energy flows and recognize muscular and energy blockages

⋆ How to feel the needs of the reciever to calibrate pressure and determine the best strategy for action

⋆ How to apply a holistic method to sense the interconnection between body, mind and emotions, and spirit-soul

⋆ How to empower and protect yourself energetically while treating others

⋆ How to promote yourself professionally and build a loyal clientele

LEVEL 3: ADVANCED (25 hours)
DEEPER LAYERS + ADVANCED STRETCHINGS

⋆ How to identify and address the root causes of pain and tension, rather than just treating the symptoms, with a clear and mindful approach tailored to the receiver’s needs and goals

⋆ An innhovative approach to deep tissue bodywork performed consciously and safely, minimizing pain and avoiding negative side effects for the receiver

⋆ Specific massage techniques using hands, wrists, fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows

⋆ Advanced yoga-based stretchings for specific joints and muscle chains

⋆ Techniques to treat the lateral plane of the body to more effectively target specific muscles in the shoulders and back

⋆ Methods to release chronic pain in the lower back and sciatic nerve

LEVEL 4: SPECIALIST (25 hours)
